Features to know about

Stable Handling on Long Trips: Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs

These rear tie-downs attach directly to the truck’s frame—the most solid part of the vehicle—to keep your camper steady mile after mile. By anchoring at the frame instead of the bed or bumper, they spread the camper’s weight evenly and lower its center of gravity. That means a more stable ride, less sway in crosswinds, and confident handling whether you’re heading down the highway or through rough backroads.

Built for a Custom Fit Installation

The TorkLift TLF3008 tie-downs bolt into pre-existing holes in the frame, so there’s little to no drilling and no need for major modifications. Each set is custom-fit for your truck model, ensuring the right mounting points and tight clearances. Once installed, the arms extend from the body to clear fenders or sidewalls, giving you an easy reach for turnbuckles and a perfect angle for a secure hold.

Clean Look When Not in Use: Removable Arms

When you’re not hauling your camper, you can remove the tie-down arms from their brackets to keep your truck looking clean. The brackets tuck up flush with the underside of the frame, staying nearly invisible until you need them again. It’s a setup that does its job when you’re loaded and disappears when you’re not.

TorkLift rear camper tie-downs installed under a truck demonstrating low-profile, nearly invisible mounting when not in use.

Built Tough for Real-World Use: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

Constructed from black powder-coated steel, these tie-downs are built to resist rust and corrosion through years of use and exposure. The durable finish holds up to road salt and weather, so they stay strong and dependable season after season. Each kit includes two rear tie-downs and installation hardware for a sturdy mount that’s ready for serious travel.

Secure Connection Points: Adjustable Anchors for Turnbuckles

Each arm has two pin holes so you can set how far it extends from the truck body. This flexibility helps align your turnbuckles (sold separately) without them rubbing against the truck or camper sidewalls. Two anchor holes let you find the right angle to hold your camper firmly in place from multiple directions, helping prevent shifting while you’re on the move.

by:

I would recommend these to anyone tying down a camper on a pickup. Bolts directly to frame and makes load ride so much better than other types of tie downs. Takes a little video time to get the mounting down but it’s included on their website and after completing one the others are easier. Very happy with purchase

by:

I bought this and the companion tie down for Ford F250 truck and the Northstar Laredo truck camper. I traveled 12K miles without incident. They worked perfectly. The only thing I had to do was to shorten the pieces that slip in (removable) for this combination they were a little too long and the Fastguns would rub the jacks in the front. I shorted the rears as well.

Great service. Very helpful and fast at shipping

Everything is still working as expected.

by:

I have had both the front and rear tie downs installed on my F-250 Super duty with an Eagle cap 950 truck camper. These are the only way to go. Being attached to the frame it feels a part of the truck itself and and it is so much safer than any bed mounted tie downs. I have taken the camper off road and the stability is no problem due to being tied to the frame itself. If you want piece of mind for your camper travels, invest in these.

by:

One year later and our TorkLift Frame-Mounted Truck Camper Tie-Downs are holding up extremely well. In fact they look brand new even though we have used them a lot! We have put thousands of miles on our truck while hauling our truck camper and our tie-downs did an excellent job of making our camper secure. We have had zero problems and we would recommend them to anyone.

by:

Tie down was exactly what I needed for a 2020 F250 as etrailer match/ search engines determined. Tie down was delivered promptly as promised.

A year later: Im frustrated with the rattling noise in these rear tie downs. I clunks and rattles right through frame and into the cab. Ive tried shimming, packing, and tightening the fast gun turnbuckles helps a little but cant make the noise go away.... Id lower my rating but dont see how on this update...

Thank you for your follow up. It sounds like you need an adapter for the F-250 hitch to take up the extra space in the hitch receiver. It did come with the tie downs. If you don't have the adapter and hardware any longer, I can have Torklift give you a call.

by:

The Package arrived on time and all was correct. It was easy to track the order through the shipping process, I found the staff easy to work with and they appeared to be genuinely interested in providing good service.

Torklift tiedowns are working great, great fit, no problems with install.

by:

I've had these installed about a year now. Have been on trips from Missouri to California and back and another trip to Wyoming/Colorado.New Mexico and back.
Tie downs worked as expected. The installation isn't too bad, having someone to help makes the installation easier.
The one thing that could be better is that you have to fish bolts thru the frame to install these -- that wasn't too bad but I'm not sure how you would ever get them back out to move to another vehicle. I trade pickups every few years and would want to move them from one to the other.
I guess I'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

Ok its been another year. The tiedowns are still working great. I did sell 2018 F250 and managed to fish the bolts back thru the frame. A couple of them I had to cut a slot into the end of the bolt to hold it with a screw driver while loosening the nut. It would be helpful if the threaded end had a slot or smaller head on it for a wrench. I just bought a 2020 F350 Dually that these will go back on in a few weeks.

by:

Easy install, work well but started rusting almost immediately.

by:

This installation was easy. If installation is on F250, the additional notched plates must be attached to the tie-downs. This prevents rotation inside the receiver tube. A couple of ratchet extensions will be required to hold the bolt head. The finished installation is secure and looks good. The welding appearance could be better, but seems strong enough.

The tie downs are still secure and work great. These rear tie downs will get alot of road grime and mud, so keep them clean.

by:

Easy install on a 2017 Ford F-350 Lariat w/ factory hitch.

by:

The Tie Downs work as they should but i would expect better paint for how much they cost. Plan ahead and paint these before installing on your vehicle or they will be completely rusted in less than a year. TorkLift you can do better.

by:

I received twice the wrong equipment. Each representative assured me that they were ordering the correct equipment for my vehicle. I will no longer be using etrailer. And I will make sure other people know what has occurred regarding my experience.

very good, just 1 bolt to remove from RUSTING until needed again

by:

We couldn't be happier with the Torklift Camper Tiedowns. Install time was minimal and fit and finish couldn't be better. Bolt fishing the frame on the passenger-side of a 2017 F350, is slightly different than the instructions suggest. But, you can't blame Torklift for not being able to keep up with every Ford engineer who gets a wild hair, to slot a new hole in the frame on Friday @ beer-thirty. Thanks again, etrailer. Ordering was a breeze, the package tracker was awesome and communication was excellent.

Exactly as described in the e-trailer video. Installation was easy since I previously watched the video. Shipping was faster than originally estimated. This is my 3rd purchase, and Would recommend the product and e-trailer to anyone in need of trailer related parts or components. Price was the same as other retailers and lower than others

by:

Installed on 2020 F250 Superduty. Easy to install rear tie downs only took about 45 minutes. I love the fact there is no drilling or moving existing things. Just straight bolt on and seem to be rock solid.

by:

Easy installation, great look. Definitely worth the money

by:

I bought both the front and rear tie-downs for my old Lance truck camper on a 2023 Ford F-250. Once installed they work great; very heavy duty. But the thing I liked most was the detailed instructions for installation. Everything needed came with the tie-downs and they were perfectly fitted to my F-250. All I needed was my old torque wrench. Installation probably took less than 2 hours.

They continue to work well. One additional feature I like is that the outer part of each tie down slips out and is removable. So, during the winter when I have the camper off the truck I am not banging into them with my legs when moving around the truck.

by:

The supplied 2 1/2" factory REC hitch adapter plat needed grinding for it to fit in the receiver hitch. Once I did that it was easy to install and definitely a well built tiedown.

by:

Easy to install on 2020 F350. I did not need the adapter for the receiver on this truck. Communication with etrailer was good

by:

The package arrived very quickly and intact. I have a 2020 Ford F250 SD Lariat short bed with a factory hitch. The tie-downs were really easy to install although the hitch adapter plate (see attached photo) which is supposed to attach to the end of the tie-down would not fit inside the tubing on my factory installed hitch so I installed without it and it is tight and snug

10/12/2022

Thank you for your photo. Torklift does recommend to use the hitch adapter for the 2020 Ford F-250. The adapter does need to be turn horizontally to fit inside the hitch not vertically.

by:

I have been very happy with these tie-downs. They are VERY easy to install, require no drilling or modification to the hitch and hide away nicely when the inserts are removed. ~9,000 miles with our camper so far and no issues. These are on a 23 F250 PowerStroke short bed.

by:

These tiedowns were exactly as advertised and fit my 2023 f350 4wd crew cab perfectly using preexisting holes and mounts. They even came with wire feeders to feed the bolts through the holes on the frame. Instructions were very good and easy to follow. Can adjust the width of tie down and can also drill new holes to customize the width. I highly recommend these.

These tie downs are sill working as advertised. I have travelled over 20,000 mi with them in various conditions with about 10 of that time in dirt roads or 4wd roads. Nothing too crazy, but with my camper and these tied downs I am confident that the camper will remain attached and be secure. It hardly moves around at all. They are worth the money and I can still remember how easily they installedvery welll thought out design and installation!
